Why
Ensueño.
Ensueño is Spanish for dream. And for a long time that's exactly what it was — a dream I kept in my head, fed by every trip I took to Puerto Rico, every image I made that I knew belonged somewhere bigger than a hard drive.
I've been shooting Puerto Rico for years. Not as a tourist. Not as someone passing through. As someone who keeps coming back because the island keeps revealing itself — the street life in Old San Juan, the real La Perla that the news never shows, the culture in Loíza that goes back centuries, the light at golden hour that hits the colors of those buildings in a way that makes you stop walking.
The gallery is the destination. But you can't open a gallery without the work. And you can't do the work without funding the trips. So this shop exists — every postcard, every keychain, every hat you buy sends me back to the island with a camera.
When Ensueño opens in St. Pete, every piece on the wall will already have been part of someone's life. That's the plan. That's the point.
